Take your seat for an immersive 3D virtual lab tour, with interactive workflow demonstrations, to discover the new Thermo Scientific™ MAM (MULTI ATTRIBUTE METHOD) 2.0 solution. The lab tour is self-guided with audio voiceovers in each room and contains video demonstrations of the full workflow from development to QC. There is also a learning center where you can discover MAM and MAM 2.0 along with access to the latest application notes, case studies and more.
MAM is a peptide-mapping-based method which takes advantage of high-resolution accurate mass (HRAM) spectrometric data to aid the identification of product quality attributes (PQA) and subsequent quantitation and monitoring of critical quality attributes (CQAs). This drives a more comprehensive understanding of the biomolecule throughout develaopment ensuring better process control for manufacturing, aligning with Quality by Design (QbD) approach favored by industry.
Major biopharmaceutical companies are making significant investments to establish MAM workflows to future-proof the development and manufacturing of their biotherapeutics. As a leading biotherapeutic solution provider and a trusted partner, Thermo Scientific has been working closely with industry leaders to develop a seamless, fit-for-purpose MAM solution.
Thermo Scientific™ MAM 2.0 enables
- Fast decision making based on high confidence information of multiple PQAs from development through QC, delivered by industry proven Thermo Scientific™ Orbitrap™ technology and Thermo Scientific™ Chromeleon™ CDS software for compliant data acquisition and processing.
- Seamless knowledge sharing and method transfer across instruments, functions, departments, and sites throughout the whole organization to accelerate development, enabled by a compliance-ready software ecosystem.
- Maximum productivity through a dedicated global support team of Thermo Scientific MAM experts, providing application specific training and service.
Who should attend:
- Analysts, team leaders, data integrity specialists, QA auditors & lab managers in biopharmaceutical analytical testing environments
- Scientists and chemists at analytical science testing laboratories, CDMOs, or biopharmaceutical manufacturers
- Analysts and companies engaged in MAM.
Kai Scheffler, Ph.D.
Senior Product Manager – Workflows, Pharma/BioPharma Vertical MarketingView Bio
Kai has focused on the characterization of carbohydrates, peptides and proteins throughout his entire professional career. Over the past 25 years he gained extensive experience in mass spectrometry hyphenated to chromatography. Yet the application of these technologies to advance the analysis of biological samples has always been in focus, resulting e.g. in the development of applications for the analysis of proteins and peptides and in particular antibodies and antibody-drug conjugates on the intact, subunit and peptide levels. In his current role as Senior Product Manager -Workflows, Kai is focusing on developing analytical LC-MS based workflows tailored to the advancing needs and requirements of the BioPharma market.
Senior Application ScientistView Bio
Melissa Sato is a Biopharma MAM Senior Field Applications Scientist in the Center of Excellence. She has over 11 years industry of experience in analytical chemistry, including mass spectrometry and chromatography analysis of various oligonucleotides, mAbs, BiTEs, and fusion proteins, and has focused on MAM during the past 6 years. As a MAM customer she developed a passion for the MAM application, and her desire to improve the technology, workflow, and customer experience led her to Thermo Fisher family. Her MAM experience spans across multiple areas of the workflow including development and qualification of MAM methods, method transfer and execution in phase appropriate GMP, and, since joining Thermo Fisher, MAM application and workflow support and optimization.
Royston Quintyn, Ph.D.
Senior Application Scientist, MAM Team LeaderView Bio
Royston Quintyn’s analytical nature led him to pursue a career in Sciences. After completing his BSc. in Chemistry at the University of Guyana, he spent a few years as an Assistant Lecturer teaching first year Chemistry courses at the university. However, the interweaving practice of theory and research continued to appeal to his analytical nature. He subsequently pursued a MSc. in Chemical Research from Queen Mary University of London where he did structural elucidation of medicinally active compounds from plants using NMR. But it was during his PhD, where he utilized native mass spectrometry as a tool for structural biology that Royston really found his passion. Since completing his degree, Royston has continued to utilize mass spectrometry to provide solutions to complex problems. Currently, he is a Senior Applications Scientist at Thermo Fisher Scientific, and as MAM Team Lead, he serves as a technical expert in the MAM project.
