Point of care testing (POCT) has become an increasingly popular alternative to traditional laboratory testing, due to decreased turnaround time and expedited diagnosis and treatment for patients in a variety of settings. While POCT plays a vital role in improving the patient experience, it can also present challenges associated with managing laboratory testing outside of the laboratory setting.
In this webinar, Rebecca Meredith, respiratory therapist at Cleveland Clinic, will discuss the benefits, challenges, and impact of POCT across various hospital departments.

View BioRebecca Meredith has been a respiratory therapist at Cleveland Clinic for over 40 years. She has been instrumental in creating and managing the Acute Medical Emergency Response team and a point-of-care testing laboratory in the Emergency Department (ED) at Cleveland Clinic, as well as several free-standing EDs.
Ellie studied biochemistry at the University of Nottingham, UK, and has previous experience working in management consultancy. As a member of the Editorial team, she now plays an integral role in shaping the content on SelectScience.
