Event details

Following the publication of the new Fire Safety Regulations the next step in the government's overhaul of fire safety legislation will be the implementation of section 156 of the Building Safety Act 2022 which will substantially amend the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.

The proposed amendments will significantly affect articles 9, 11, 21, 22 and 50 of the Fire Safety Order. Responsible persons will be under a duty to instruct "competent" fire risk assessors, risk assessments will have to be produced and carried out in written form, and certain information will have to be recorded and passed on to other responsible persons. There will also be specific amendments in relation to enforcement in higher risk buildings.

During the course of our webinar, we will discuss the proposed amendments, and the possible impact upon the enforcement of the fire safety order by fire and rescue services, in particular in relation to fire risk buildings, together with the consequences for fire risk assessors, responsible persons and other fire industry professionals.

All attendees will earn CPD points.
