Further, he has twice been a nominated finalist for the prestigious George van Schalkwyk Award bestowed by The Security Institute, an organisation of which he is an Honorary Fellow.

Having spent more than a decade providing the Construction Products Industry with various testing and certification services, Jerry is now providing the same industry with independent advice and consultancy services, based on his wealth of industry knowledge, to help the sector meet the requirements of the regulators, specifiers and Quality Assurance providers.

A graduate in Timber Technology from Buckinghamshire Chilterns University College and an Associate of the Institute of Materials Minerals & Mining. Since 1995 he has worked in the quality assurance industry both as a manufacturer and then as a senior manager & inspector in the product certification and testing industry, achieving Directorships for three international providers of testing, certification, and consultancy. In 2022 Jerry achieved fire engineering industry recognition with the award of Associate of the Institute of Fire Engineers and in recognition of Jerry’s contribution to the timber and fire industries, Jerry was awarded Fellowship of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining in April 2022.
