Event details
In this webinar we will be showcasing our 57 new NZC 3 English and Literature skills lessons.
Our new Literacy Contextual Lessons have been drawn from the Literacy Progression Framework and are aimed to support teachers through the transition of the upcoming NZ Curriculum change.
The lessons have been written by NZ primary teachers, for NZ primary teachers and include diverse voices with a special focus on Māori and Pasifika - the themes of Te Taiao and pūrākau are woven throughout the modules.
We listened to what our NZ teachers wanted and have included explanation writing, information reports, narrative, poetry and persuasive writing. We lead students through the features of each genre and guide them toward producing their own using a SOLO taxonomy to structure the lessons.
We look forward to working with kaiako to discuss and discover ways to most effectively utilise these exciting new lessons with your ākonga.
