The Education Perfect platform provides access to a series of Language Conventions diagnostics from Years 7-10 as well as a placement test. Located in the English content these pre-made diagnostic exams can be run formally or informally as frequently as every term, providing growth data of how your students are tracking in language conventions. Additionally the data can help inform your teaching, write reports, support students to prepare for NAPLAN/other exams, and remove the need for any other formal process of data collection.
Come along to this session to learn how to assign and use the diagnostics, and how to really get the most out of them throughout the year with as little effort as possible.
Presenter
Katie is a Teacher Consultant for Education Perfect who has just wrapped up six and a half years teaching in South Australia. Her main subjects are English, History and Health and Wellbeing, but as is the way with teaching she also has experience in everything from Maths and Italian to Junior Primary PE! She has spent time as Pedagogy Coordinator (English and Research Project) and a Student Wellbeing Leader. With a passion for supporting young people to grow into confident, curious and critical thinking members of society she is relishing her new role and the opportunity to reach more students than ever by supporting teachers across Australia to create exciting and engaging content and to use it in the most innovative of ways! She also loves travelling and in her spare time dabbles in hobbies including Italian, guitar/singing and most recently salsa dancing!
