It’s now common practice to install automatic fire alarm systems in high-rise residential buildings to reduce waking watch costs while unsafe cladding is removed and remedial work completed.

In this webinar, Advanced’s Ken Bullock will explain how ‘over-engineering’ your temporary system will allow you to convert it to an evacuation alert system once a risk assessor has confirmed the stay-put policy can be reinstated.  He will also give an overview of BS 8629 recommendations which bring fire safety peace of mind for you and high-rise residents.

Steve Dilloway from Veritas Fire Support Services will review the BS 8629 code of practice from a fire risk assessor’s perspective. He will also look at common design errors, best practice in the provision for the hearing impaired, premises information boxes and fire doors, as well as customer expectations.

Following the presentation Brian Sims, editor of Fire Safety Matters, will put your questions to Ken and Steve.

This session is ideal for anyone involved in the specification, installation or maintenance of fire and evacuation alert systems, as well as those responsible for protecting high-rise residential properties and their residents from fire.

All attendees will receive CPD Points.
