Due to ongoing restrictions relating to Covid-19, the 2021 AGM will take place virtually. I really hope you can join us.

The 2021 AGM Agenda (including the minutes of both the 106th Annual General Meeting and the 2020 Special General Meeting, details of the 2021 Election and Board and Member motions), the Annual Report, Accounts and Auditor’s Report 2020 and the Rules of the Society are available by clicking on the resources section of this page.

You may submit a question relating to the 2021 AGM items using the registration form on this page.

2021 Election

The 2021 Election closes at 1pm on Wednesday 31 March 2021 for receipt of postal ballot papers and online voting closes at 1pm on Monday 5 April 2021. To vote in the election please go to: www.cesvotes.com/hfholidays21 and use the links from your email or letter.

We urge you to please consent to receiving communications by electronic means by opting in to receive electronic communications. Sending out postal communications about HF Holidays’ AGM costs our Society around £40,000 each year. Quite apart from the financial cost, this creation and postage of paper is not in line with our values as an environmentally and socially responsible Society. We ask you to consider how we can communicate with you in the best interests of you and our Society.

If you are unable to join the 2021 AGM, a recording of the meeting will be available on the Society website to watch shortly after. For more information, please visit www.hfholidays.co.uk/agm

Proxy Voting

As per Rule 20.10 a Member who is unable to attend an annual or general meeting may appoint another Member as their proxy, provided only that the Member so appointed may not act as proxy for any other Member. If you wish to nominate a proxy please request this by email by 1pm on Monday 5 April 2021 to agm@hfholidays.co.uk with the details of the Member who you wish to nominate as your proxy. Instructions will then be provided to the appointed proxy on how to vote on your behalf as they think fit, having heard the deliberations of the meeting.

Yours sincerely

I have always been drawn to the simplicity of HF's vision: bringing people together to enjoy the pleasures of fresh air, stirring landscapes and great company. I love striding out on green hills under big skies and thank HF for helping me discover marvellous new parts of the U.K. as well as great walks abroad. Holidaying with HF is frequently inspiring, sometimes exhausting but always fun. I would like these simple outdoor pleasures to be on offer to future generations. It's vital to support our unique organisation as it adapts to a rapidly changing world whilst keeping its core values and vision intact.

I believe that what HF has to offer is really special. I have been a member for over 10 years, have visited virtually every one of our UK houses, been on European and Worldwide holidays. I love walking, from Nepal and New Zealand to special places in the UK. HF provides an extra dimension adding friendship, fun and good food to the mix.

My wife and I are both keen walkers and lovers of the outdoors, and our holidays with HF have been a real joy ever since our first holiday to Derwent Bank. HF Holidays has a unique formula. We aren't just another 'holiday company'. We are owned by our Members and are hugely fortunate to be supported by our volunteer walk leaders.

I am a relative newcomer to HF Holidays, joining in 2013, but I have felt at home from the start. I love the ethos of a member owned business that focuses on satisfying the needs of its members. I have taken a number of HF Holidays in the UK and Overseas and enjoyed both experiences. The one constant factor has been the quality of our volunteer leaders and we need to ensure that this important element is at the heart of our future plans.

I have been part of HF Holidays for over 36 years in many roles and most recently as CEO. I have enjoyed visiting all the UK country houses including many family breaks when my children were younger. I loves the outdoors and meeting people. My favourite walk is hard to choose but Cat Bells holds special memories. I have completed the Pennine Way but in separate weeks over three years. I hope to expand my horizons with more visits overseas, especially to HF Holidays' European locations.

I have recently joined the team. I am responsible for supporting our Board of Directors and hope to ensure that the Society’s governance is outstanding and reflects the values of HF Holidays. I am a solicitor, and worked for a City law firm before becoming an in-house counsel at an investment bank. After moving to Prague with my husband, I lectured in law at Prague University. When the family returned to the UK, I was chair of governors at a local grammar school for 5 years before becoming Head of Governance and Company Secretary for Comic Relief. I am a dairy farmer’s daughter from Yorkshire, and like nothing more than being in the great outdoors. I enjoy walking, skiing and horse riding and have recently taken up running ultra-marathons. My family’s menagerie includes a husband, four children, two dogs, three cats and lots of fish and I would also love a small herd of cows at some point!
